Ghana to host Climate chance summit in October 2019

Climate change has become a global worry which measures are taken to address the issue especially in Africa.

In respect of that, Ghana is going to host the 2019 climate chance summit in collaboration with the  government of Ghana, National Association of Local  Authorities of Ghana , NALAG, Non government actors, Farmers, CSO's  all stakeholders to deliberate on Climate change to find lasting solution to the issue.

During the media launch, the President of NALAG and Metropolitan Chief Executive of the Tema Metropolitan Assembly, Felix Mensah Nii Anang-La, said government is also committed in solving the climate change that is why Ghana is hosting upcoming climate chance summit in Accra.

The summit is going to bring about thousand participants across Africa to share ideas and best practices.

The summit will also address issue like, access to Climate Finance in Africa, Agriculture, food and afforestation, renewable energy among others.

On his part, Ronan Dantec, President, Senate and spokesperson on  Climate for United Cities and Local Government, speaking at the media launch he said the problems of climate change in Africa is Agriculture, planning and financing and he said the upcoming summit will bring hands and ideas together to develop national policies to solve or mitigate Climate change in Africa.
